I have this same problem: Running the x64 release version of 10.04, uname -a: Linux ubu104 2.6.32-22-generic #33-Ubuntu SMP Wed Apr 28 13:28:05 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux as a base for VirtualBox. Things ran fine for 2 days, then I restarted a vm which suddenly said it had problems connecting with the sound driver. I have nothing to paste in, because it went downhill from there. Load 8.6-10.2 on a dual core. Top pretty consistently: indicators-sound 25% indicators-apple(t) 25% wnck-applet 25% nautilus 25% gnome-panel 25% metacity 25%
made pretty close to the full 200%, and the gui unresponsive I tried killing all the processes that had indicator in the name, but that didn't relieve much - went to about 8.6 load and stayed there. rebooted and it has run fine for several hours. -- over-consumes system resources https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/567284 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
