Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx LTS does not recognize or mount udf dvds, that read perfectly in Vista.
When inserting a dvd created inVista, the seek light goes on, stops, and the CD/DVD icon disappears, as if I no longer have a cdrom drive. Removing the Vista created dvd causes the cdrom drive icon to reappear. Attachment shows terminal output with the Vista created dvd in the drive. Then no disk, and then again with music & data dvd, & Vista install dvd. Apparently whatever format Vista used to create the first dvd tested cannot be read or even be recognized by Ubuntu 10.04. Vista calls the format udf, but which version? Could it be that Ubuntu can read older udf (2.0?) format but not newer udf (2.5?) BavarianPH, Ubuntu forever! ** Attachment added: "udf-dvd-diags" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/48241923/udf-dvd-diags -- Can't access auto mounted UDF dvd https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/567154 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
