when I run apport-collect 578596, it starts a w3c session. I enter my username and password, but it won't let me select continue. It is not a "selectable" item, unlike cancel right next to it.
I have found out that I can type "startx" and the gui will come up for that user. Interestingly, one can't log-out using the "power" button on the upper right of the screen. There is nothing under it. To stop, one must use gnome-session-save --kill. I tried to start nm-applet, but get this error: ** (nm-applet:10463): WARNING **: <WARN> bus_init(): Could not get the system bus. Make sure the message bus daemon is running!
