I am currently using version 2.31.1~bzr743-0ubuntu1~daily1. Gwibber launches now but I do not get updates through the indicator applet.
Since originally reporting th bug I have updated ubuntu to version 10.04. I have the "Display Notifications" option enabled. I have the "Only display notifications for mentions" option disabled. No notification balloons appear from the indicator applet from gwibber.
