You may be onto something here. I do have those messages in my syslog.
I disabled wireless (hmm the switch doesn't seem to work anymore! I wonder how long that's been the case? had to use ifconfig). Then I started rhythmbox, played two songs, with no stutter and no underrun messages. Then I quit rhythmbox, started wireless with ifconfig, connected to my router, started rhythmbox again, played the same first song - and got two stutters in the the middle. However, I did not see any fresh noise floor messages, or any other intervening ath5k messages. They may be around somewhere, though. I find ath5k messages in syslog, some alsa messages there too, others in messages. Anyway, should I try something else? -- [USB-Audio - USB Audio CODEC ] Playback problem https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/579117 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
