Using ubuntu-10.04-desktop-i386.iso 29-Apr-2010 13:56 image. USB Creator - Erase Disk - Make Startup Disk
Attached screenshot showing information from gparted about this usb immediately after creation. This fails to boot with the "Could not find kernel image: linux" error message on one of two PCs that I am able to test on, the second PC boots OK. Attached separately, lshw output for the PC that fails to boot. Curiously, the PC that fails to boot from this USB *does* boot if the usb is formatted fat16 and I use a much earlier 0.1.10~hardy1 version of usb creator, same image, same usbstick. ** Attachment added: "screenshot showing information from gparted about this usb" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/48433060/USB-Creator-Erase-MakeDisk.png -- Startup Disk Creator failing to create bootable USB with Ubuntu 10.04 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/574673 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
