Public bug reported:

I can't get audio on Ubuntu 10.04. i read about that bug on Ubuntu
forum, but all just said install the alsa driver. I tried but i get a
error every time i try.

When i run the, for the alsa driver package downloaded at http://www
.alsa-project.org

$ ./configure

Everything is fine, but when i run the:

$ make

code. i get this error

make[1]: *** [hpetimer.o] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/kasper/Desktop/alsa-driver-1.0.9rc4a/acore'
make: *** [compile] Error 1

What am i doing wrong? 
or what am i missing
