Poked around a bit with libimobiledevice. Discovered the following: With absolutely no changes to the base Lucid install, installing iFuse from the repos allows access to my iPod via filesystem. Rhythmbox doesn't pick it up properly still, but the fact that iFuse (which uses libimobiledevice) works out-of-the-box means the problem is not with the current kernel, and is not with the current libimobiledevice.
I'm leaning back towards this being a rhythmbox problem, which makes me wonder why the rhythmbox people told me it was a lower-level problem in the first place (see bug #573161). -- iPod Touch not recognized https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/575485 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
