I understand and appreciate wanting to eliminate hundreds of duplicates, but aren't we throwing the baby out with the bathwater?
I have no problem with squelching emails if/when duplicates show up, but I think that one initial email is pretty important. As it is now, you may not know for a long time (possibly never) that there is an issue - after all, I would expect that when I subscribe to bug mail for a package, I would get that bug mail (and I think the silent majority of triagers would too). I've made my case. If you still feel this is a WON'T FIX, I'll accept it. As for the Mythbuntu project, we'll go with whatever Mario believes is needed. -- No bug mail generated at all for private reports https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/563988 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
