I'd be willing to bet that the change was meant to fix this problem.
The -12 problem you're having may be fixed as well in -13, so please
test that when it's available.
Give the change in /proc/interrupts, I'm going to close this bug. If it
re-occurs, please change it back to Needs info, and add a comment (Needs
Info will make sure it gets my attention).
