  Amarok, when playing m4a audio files, cuts the first few seconds (or
  milliseconds) of the tracks, with the crossfader turned off. If I turn
  the crossfader on "manual track change only", it no longer cuts the

it doesnt happens, if you let the song play until the end, the first few 
seconds of the next song in the playlist will be skipped.
