Tried to install the latest upstream kernel, conflict errors came up, network 
card stopped working.
Decided to uninstall the latest kernel, recover network card function but since 
then touchpad has completely stopped working, no movement unless external USB 
mouse is connected.
If I go to System-Preferences-Touchpad I got the following message:
GSynaptics couldn't initialize. You have to set 'SHMConfig' 'true' in xorg.conf 
or XF86Config to use GSynaptics
