Also to add this solution does not conflict with thinkpad-acpi.
Note to kernel team:
Since thinkpad-acpi now links to ALSA .. if a user uses alsa-backports &
it has alsa version 1.0.23 .. thinkpad-acpi module will break and not be able
to load, since it is looking for symbols that are not there. The solution I
have above isolates the needed fixes to the intel hda driver (specifically the
conexant portion).
