Thanks for testing and the feedback. So this is a tricky issue to
resolve as backing out the patch causing issues for you will regress
others but as we see keeping it applied also causes regressions for
users like yourself. It was decided to keep the patch applied and point
users like yourself to use the workaround to re-enable KMS. In the
future we should hopefully see this issue resolved in the next 10.10
(Maverick Meerkat) release which will be based on a 2.6.35 kernel. Hope
