Sorry if I was unclear. The file we need is /tmp/emacs22.gYfEz4 (and/or /tmp/emacs22.ch3Q87 from the new term.log you uploaded).
Files in /tmp are cleaned out on reboot, so they might not be there any longer. If you don't have these files on your system anymore, a new log file can perhaps be produced by attempting to install emacs23 (and/or emacs22) again. Look at the end of term.log for the error message about failed byte compilation for the precise file name; it will be different each time. Thank you for your patience and understanding. -- package emacs23 23.1+1-4ubuntu7 failed to install/upgrade: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/581127 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
