I would argue that if it doesn't do it by default, the majority of users are not going to (take the time to/know how to) change it.
Meaning that if pastebin.com is broken, pastebinit becomes "broken" as far as the majority (of users) goes. I'm not sure if my concerns as far as the sites reliability goes are fully valid, but the remake. And the current server movage (which has rendered it unfunctional for a day or so at least) kind of makes me subjectively sceptical. The ads do bother me as well, but I'm aware that might well be a poor argument. And it's just nice to use what is meant for ubuntu, in ubuntu But, if you think the diff would simply be an unnecessary pain, I'm not going to push for it.
