Quoting the attached DpkgTerminalLog.txt:
> !! Byte-compilation for emacs22 failed!
> !! This indicates a bug in one of the add-on packages
> !! installed on your system, or a bug in Emacs itself.
> !! Please file a bug report against emacs22
> !! and attach the file /tmp/emacs22.icZSnU

We need the file /tmp/emacs22.icZSnU from your system in order to
investigate this problem. Please attach the file to this bug report.

Files in /tmp are purged on reboot; you may be able to reproduce the
problem by attempting to install emacs22 again. If so, a new file with
a unique name will be created in /tmp; you can find the name from the
file /var/log/apt/term.log, near the end.

I'm setting the Status of this bug report to Incomplete to mark it as
pending on your input. Feel free to set the Status back to New once you
have supplied the requested information. Thanks!
