If an APT front-end crashed and your database is locked, try this in a
terminal:
sudo fuser -vki /var/lib/dpkg/lock; sudo dpkg --configure -a
Also, please answer these questions:
* Is this reproducible?
* If so, what specific steps should we take to recreate this bug?
