1) Remove local network manager (uninstall) 2) install WICD from Ubuntu Software Center (first option you see) 3) with WICD, seek for wireless connection... you'll be able to find them... you only need the SSID and IP-Address and Password key... the best way is having a second laptop with you in order to get the exact parameters 4) re-install network manager (the system will import all data you had previously given in WICD automatically) 5) restart the PC 6) there'll be a conflict between WICD and Network Manager 7) Uninstall WICD 8) restart PC 9) enjoy the net! 10) it worked with us. Don't be mad at us, if it doesn't with you.
