Ah-ah! I solved my own bug! Well, that's a first for everything.
Something was modified in debian-installer (and/or) grub2.  Everything
went smooth.  However, debian-installer see removable media as first
device (/dev/sda) and at the end of the installation, grub2 will install
on the first device (/dev/sda) instead of the hard drive. That *was* the
reason.  I downloaded LiveCD and ran the grub-related commands to
install it in the correct place. After that, the laptop booted fine. You
may close this bug report. :)
