Apologies, it seems I have to log out and in for it to appear. I would
have sworn I already tried that, but its there now after restarting gdm
(again). Im using gnome btw,

I guess you can mark this invalid although it would be nice if app icons
appeared without having to log out. here is a screenshot before logging
out:

Note how it shows up in the menu editor, but not in the menu.

Anyway, that has probably nothing to do with miro, so this can be marked
invalid.
