** Description changed:

  Hi,

I found that there is a plugin for opensync which uses an LDAP directory
as data source (see e.g. http://www.opensync.org/wiki/plugins/ldap).
- Ubuntu (in my case: intrepid) has a set of packages with different
- opensync plugins (typically named opensync-plugin-<plugin name>),
- however I can't find a package which includes the LDAP plugin.
+ Ubuntu (in my case: intrepid AND LUCID) has a set of packages with
+ different opensync plugins (typically named opensync-plugin-<plugin
+ name>), however I can't find a package which includes the LDAP plugin.

Is the LDAP plugin available with any standard Ubuntu package (which
one?) or is it simply missing (is there a reason for this?)?

Thanks a lot for your help, and best regards
  Heiko
