More interesting things to note on the 'doesn't enter suspend' front... gwibber doesn't work - the stated reason includes the lines:
"Removing stale, deceptive pid file. Apache CouchDB has started, time to relax. Browse your desktop CouchDB at file:///home/comp/.local/share/desktop-couch/couchdb.html" I wonder if that doens't mean that there's an issue with some aspect of the gnome panel elements which may be preventing suspend from fully 'engaging'. I've previously had them not start properly (that was an issue with the 'trash' icon). Anyway, I wonder even more if this might be the case because of the interesting correlations I've noted between user and propensity to crash. When my wife uses the computer, she manages to suspend most of the time (>90%, I think), yet I get <20%. The main differences in our usage is that I use the panel elements (notes, the music player, the mail thing) and the ubuntu cloud bits and she doesn't. I wonder if the problem is related. any thoughts? -- computer does not enter suspend, displays blank screen https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/575924 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
