Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-games

Using 2.6.32-22-generic #33-Ubuntu SMP Wed Apr 28 13:28:05 UTC 2010 x86_64
GNU/Linux and quadrappel version 2.30.0.
Play a game via Applications-Games-Quadrapassel. Select Game-New. Fill up one
column in playing area so that it is filled. Now fill a row so that all tiles
are moved down one position. Previously filled top block moves down but another
(same coloured) block stays in same (previously filled) position. This new
block stops any new pieces from moving to this filled position (as if it is a
valid piece). See attached screenshot showing offending block in top left of
playing area.
