Thanks for everyone's help.

I mounted the hard drives with a live CD (9.10 actually - because the
Live 10.04 did not work - just a black screen appeared - and Hardy Heron
does not support ext4 file systems).  Unfortunately I just used Gparted
and removed the partition afterwords and then installed it over that one
again so I could not get any errors with it so people could see the
problem better (since I could not access it with any way I knew anyhow).

Well, I got all my files back and they all work so thanks a lot!
