Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: foo2zjs
I plugged in my HP laserjet 1000 into the USB port of a computer running Ubuntu
10.04. I followed instructions for automatically configuring my printer and
then printed a test page. After that I could not print anything else. The
computer appeared to process the print jobs in the queue and could see the
printer e.g.
$ lpq
hp-LaserJet-1000 is ready
no entries
Then I used synaptic to uninstall foo2zjs, removed the hp-laserjet-1000
in System >> Administration >> Printing, replugged in the printer to USB
port. Ubuntu detected and automatically installed the printer and now it
is working good. Its a weird bug and I found the fix but by pure luck.
