One more comment: I have been able to reproduce this bug with a different email client: Mozilla Thunderbird. So this is not Evolution- specific.
To duplicate: 1)Install Thunderbird 3.0 from the repos and then install Mozilla Lightning calendar extension from mozilla.org. 2)Maximize Thunderbird, then enable the Today Pane by pressing F11. Close Thunderbird, then restart. The Today Pane is not enabled. 3) Un-maximize Thunderbird, then manually resize its window to fullscreen. Enable the Today Pane by pressing F11. Close Thunderbird, then restart.
