Thanks for your report.

The workaround you used simply allow you to remove the package but doesn't fix 
the problem with the 'alternatives' during an upgrade. You're still 
experiencing the same bug as before and I'm going to mark this one as 
duplicate. 
A developer has been notified of the problem and is working on it.
