Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: plasma-widget-wifi
The Plasma wifi signal strength monitor can only see the first wifi
adapter. For instance in my case I have an internal wifi adapter (named
wlan1 for some reason), and an external one called wlan0. When I have a
marginal signal (i.e. the kind of circumstances in which I need to be
able to use the widget) I use the external interface (wlan0). However
the widget reports a signal strength of 0. What it should report is what
the Wicd monitor in the system tray reports (I have to use Wicd rather
than network-manager because nm is prone to unwanted roaming when the
signal is weak).
The widget needs to have a switch to choose which interface to monitor.
