Public bug reported:
Problem
1 I start an instance with the image below, the instance is starting fine. The
instance gets a default public address.
2 I associate the instance with an address.
3 I change the host-name of the instance, alters /etc/hosts, and install some
software.
4 After some time the associated address is removed from the instance, and the
instance gets its original public address.
Just before the address is lost from the instance, the following stack-
trace is shown in cloud-error.log - see attachment for full stacktrace
ERROR java.lang.IllegalStateException: Trying to clear an address which is not
currently pending.
java.lang.IllegalStateException: Trying to clear an address which is not
currently pending.
at com.eucalyptus.address.Address.clearPending(Address.java:342)
at sun.reflect.GeneratedMethodAccessor233.invoke(Unknown Source)
Cloud controller is configured with MANAGED-NOVLAN
Expected behavior
associate-address calls is persistent, unless the instance is stopped.
