This doesn't have anything to do with ~/.miro.  I'm guessing the user is
missing dependencies that aren't listed in the package or there's a
mismatch somewhere between XULRunner and gtkmozembed.

Regardless, we switched from XULRunner to webkit for Miro 3.0.2, so this
issue will go away.

We have packages for Jaunty, Karmic and Lucid in the miro-releases PPA:
