I erased the Hard drive and re-installed both Kubuntu (Ubuntu) and Microsoft Windows 7. Now my Kubuntu 10.04 does show the speakers and the sound card, etc; but I still don't have sound yet. I am looking for some hidden mute function; but so far I have not found it. Everything else works great so far with the except of when I was trying to install the Canon Camera software; I got error codes and no installation. The music players all appear to work; yet no sound. I get sound through the same set up on Windows 7 though. (This time I downloaded the entire iso file for Kubuntu and then I ran Wubi; before I only ran Wubi and then the Kubuntu iso file would not be saved.) I don't mind not having sound as I can use the pop-up menu to give me notices. I have not tried the webcam yet.
