I did as you asked. (took me a while to figure out that "Xorg -configure" needed a sudo and that it put the new xorg.conf.new in my home directory).
Anyway, with the new xorg.conf, the system no longer reboots when I attempt to do a graphical login, instead it hangs with a dead keyboard and no mouse pointer (apparently while trying to draw the top panel). I added the \tOption "AIGLX" "false" line to the xorg.conf file, and now I can log in. I am currently running an update on the system (110 packages to download & update). It appears that the old scrolling problem still exists, but I will test that more thoroughly when the update completes. -- [CLE266] Via Epia M6000 installs, but reboots when login attempted https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/581571 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
