Ah, doing that shed some light on what the issue was, the following was in the output:
QInotifyFileSystemWatcherEngine::addPaths: inotify_add_watch failed: No such file or directory QFileSystemWatcher: failed to add paths: /home/steve/.config/ibus/bus Bus::open: Can not get ibus-daemon's address. IBusInputContext::createInputContext: no connection to ibus-daemon Once I started ibus-daemon, shortcut events from the external keyboard were detected. The question becomes, then, why the dependency on ibus, and what's supposed to start it, as I don't see it running on 3 different 10.04 systems that I've looked at. -- mumble doesn't recognize external USB keyboard for shortcuts https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/583538 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
