I have the same problem in 10.04 using gnome-swallow-applet rather than i8kmon. Basically, applications take longer to load than 10 seconds when you log in due to system load as the GUI is starting up.
A workaround is to right-click on the applet and select "reconfigure" every time you log in, but that's hardly satisfactory. Debian-bugs have an untested patch at http://bugs.debian.org/cgi- bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=400265#22, but in my opinion it would be better to make the timeout a configurable parameter. ** Bug watch added: Debian Bug tracker #400265 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=400265 -- Doesn't wait long enough before giving up https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/44255 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
