Binary package hint: eog
EOG on lucid refuses to display a GIF file created by rrdtools with
"File does not appear to be a GIF file":
$ file cputemp.gif
cputemp.gif: PNG image, 497 x 174, 8-bit/color RGBA, non-interlaced
Other viewers, including evince, show the file just fine.
