I am marking this as patch-needsdesign to get the patch out of the glare of the Patch Reviewers Team until we finalize a design for this issue.
It doesn't have to be me who does the design work here. Basically someone needs to work out how, if at all, it would be possible to distinguish the first segment of the pathbutton in all screens that use the pathbutton if that first segment is only an icon.
