Please run
cat lspci -vvnn > lspci.txt
and attach the file (it should be in your home folder).
>From the 10.04 LiveCD, please press any key at the purple screen with a
keyboard and stickfigure. Then press F6 and select "nomodeset". If that
doesn't get you to a live desktop, try the other options in that menu.
