I appreciate the frustration you are experiencing. The Lucid  release
brought a record number of new users that severely degraded performance.
The U1 team is working hard to fix the slow system performance.

>From looking through your attached logs, it appears that you have file
sync disabled. Please goto System --> Preferences --> Ubuntu One. In the
Ubuntu One Preferences window, please select the "Services" tab. Now
please tick the checkbox next to  "File Synchronisation" (see
http://imgbin.org/images/1708.png)

To see the status/progress of syncing files in 10.04, the "u1sdtool" is
used. Please see

information on u1sdtool.
