i should perhaps also mention that this happens on 3 different linux machines that i tested on. one is fresh installed, 2 are upgraded from 9.10, all 3 have usb issues now. all had no problems with usb devices before the upgrade to 10.04. i would opt for an increase in priority of this issue as all 3 systems are less than reliable at the moment and 2 of them 'need' to be running 24/7.
