I can confirm, hibernate works with tuxonice, from kde hibernate option or echo > /sys/power/tuxonice/do_suspend. But not suspend to RAM, it has problem with entering S3 state, I opened new bug only for Y530: https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/587457
