Public bug reported:

I have been an ardent fan of the ubuntu distributions and recently
installed ubuntu fiesty.

While the installation was easy and user friendly as ever. I had a minor
problem once i connected to the net.

I use a static IP and a DSL connection. After I keyed in my IP and other
details. I was able to go online seamlessly. But the networking icon
still showed an (!) sign and said the network was disconnected.

After i ran the automatic updates. This problem automatically got
resolved. I just thought u guys should know.
