I don't think gparted needs kpartx. I have removed its dependency in my package and it operates perfectly on the dmraid device nodes both with letters and numbers at the end of the device node.
Its odd that its required as in the code the dmraid command returns a string so it shouldn't matter at all what the partition ends are (from a programming point of view). In my opinion it seems like a hack way of getting the desired result. I've uploaded my lucid gparted (without the kpartx dependency) to my testing ppa if you would like to test: https://launchpad.net/~danwood76/+archive/ppa-testing -- Gparted does not list dmraid devices https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/554582 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
