** Description changed: i am having a problem with the final release of 32 bit Lucid. When I try to use the desktop installer I get the Ubuntu logo and then the screen goes black. I tried using the alternate installer and was able to install, however I get the same black screen when Ubuntu tries to boot. The computer is a old Dell Inspiron 700m with a Intel video card, and it ran perfectly with 9.10. I know that my CD was fine because I used it on another computer and the install went fine. - I have not even been able to get to a command line so far to get more - information so sorry for not providing much.
