try these on terminal
 nvidia-settings --assign GreenBrightness=0.5 
 nvidia-settings --assign BlueBrightness=0.5 
 nvidia-settings --assign RedBrightness=0.5 

this though does not change screen brightness but changes color settings
...

this could be integrated in the fn keys scripts to control what we do
with nvidia x server ... as a relief to users  ..

though the correct fix will be using sony lib
