It works. I changed etc/cups/printers.conf to include: #AuthInfoRequired none AuthInfoRequired username,password to remove the workaround. I was promoted for username and password. and restarted cups.d: >sudo /etc/init.d/cups restart Printing worked. Thanks, tomdean -- Printing fails.
