Public bug reported: Binary package hint: obm
obm and its dependencies installed just fine. And when browsing to http://localhost/obm I get the login screen. I can then log in just fine, and I have admin status. Yay! Or so I thought. The problem is that the options on the panel are incomplete. There should be an option to "Add Hosts" and it simply is not there. From what I've read of tutorials on the program, this is an integral part of how the program works, and hence it is useless without it. I wrote to the developers at obm.org and their response was that the version in the Ubuntu repos was severely outdated and they did not support it any longer. They wouldn't or couldn't even point me in the right direction. In short, this package needs to be either removed or upgraded. In its current state, it is useless. I have tried it on 9.04, 9.10 and 10.04 and it is the same packages for each successive Ubuntu release. Ubuntu's repos have 2.1.10 and the current release from obm.org is 2.3.7 (I think) I would much prefer for it to be upgraded, as I really need software of this type. Thanks for listening, Jeff Smith ** Affects: obm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- obm extremely outdated and missing options. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/588138 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
