I've backported the upcoming maverick 0.13.4 update to lucid on my PPA.
Your issue seems fixed in this release. Could you give it a try and let me know
if it helps?
If this really solves your issue, it may be a good idea to have it backported
in the official archive… I don't know if it is possible, but I think so.
