Ditto same error with writing to a DVD-R with Brasero. I successfully recorded using cdrecord:
$ cdrecord -scanbus
scsibus1:
1,0,0 100) 'TSSTcorp' 'CDDVDW SH-S223B ' 'SB02' Removable CD-ROM

Brasero burning ISO dvd-rw fail please eject manually
