Thanks for you response. of course after a week of trying, Now I now that I can't use JMF and I have to use Gstreamer, of course I now that there are 2 modes a preview and a presentation, of course I have tried Totem and it works I installed every imaginable plugin gstreamer0..that I have to hand in repositories and of course the jre recoemded by Openoffice jre6.. some nonsense but nothing. the prob seems to start when I installed the Openoffice package so I Can get all open office apps. In that moment the selector stops to work.
